Refunds after an item has been shipped.

Occasionally I find that eBay has over quoted shipping costs (e.g. a buyer buys two records for which the combined postage is cheaper than two records posted separately). eBay quotes the cost of shipping the records individually. The buyer pays immediately rather than waiting for an invoice from me with the shipping corrected. I would like to refund the excess postage but when I attempt to process the refund the Review Refund button is greyed out. Is there a way around this?

The button will generally be greyed out until a reason for the refund has been selected from the dropdown menu at the top and the amount entered - if it's remaining greyed out after doing both, it's possibly a browser issue - I'd try clearing cookies / cache first.

Thanks for your reply, which prompted me to review what I had done. I discovered that I had entered the reason for refund in the Note to Buyer space rather than clicking on Reason for Refund.
