SMS alerts for Australian account / mobile?

Hi,

I want to receive SMS alerts for when I've sold an item, recieved an offer or been asked a question. I have an Australian eBay account and mobile, and after searching online, can only find methods for US/UK accounts / mobiles.

Does anyone know any methods for this? It's not a problem if it requires a paid subscription or other fees.

I don't know of any SMS alerts but if you download the eBay app on your phone you get notification when you sell something.

Unfortunately, my phone is old and basic. Don't use it much.

I found a site that supports PayPal SMS alerts, so it's not perfect but it's better than nothing.

For anyone who's having the same issue, this is the site I found: http://www.sms4paypal.com/

At it's most expensive, it costs roughly 10 cents per SMS.

If anyone finds something better, give me a shout.

Depending on your internet service provider, you may be able to get sms alerts for emails  you receive.  For example, Telstra did provide an email alert SMS service if you had a bigpond email address.

the eBay app sounds like a good idea if it alerts you to sales and payments.

Me too. That is the only practical use of the app, imo.

Means I don't have to look at my phone while I'm driving to know what the email is for. I wouldn't try to do anything meaningful with the app.

You can send them a message, but I am tired and can't be bothered posting how . . . . . and I have another poster in my sights at the moment.
