final value fee credit refund email lie. (check your account)

today we found out that after refunding a buyer, the selling fee credit was not refunded to us as the eBay email stated.
It is concerning to think how many other sellers this has happened to without their knowledge (trusting the email was true).

eBay was contacted, and as per usual the response was poor. it didn't seem important that this issue could be affecting many other sellers (pocketing eBay a bunch of seller fees fraudulently). The excuse given is the fee refund had to be done manually, but the email said it was being sent (lucky we followed up).

Please check your selling account for refunds\credits on all the buyer refunds you have made to make sure you have not been affected by entering the item number.

Over the many years on eBay we have seen transparency disappear with “layout updates” making the tracking of information\data indirect and easier for issue like this to slip unnoticed.

Hi SELLER,
Thanks for sending a refund of AU $XXX to your buyer.
You'll see a final value fee credit on your next invoice.

When was your next invoice? That's when it was promised.

Any I do generally appear a few days after the refund.
