Item stating delivered when it's not

Yesterday I purchased an item from Sydney coming to me in Brisbane. The seller is using Sendle. Today my item says delivered 17 Jul and when I click on the tracking number it says thanks for picking up your item. I've gone on the sendle site and it says it's on it's way.

My question is why is ebay allowing the item to show as delivered when it has only been picked up by Sendle.

The agent has probably tapped the delivery button/icon instead of the lodgement/receipt one.  Had the same thing with AP recently.

Can not see how ebay is responsible. or what you expect them to do about it

I may have worded the question incorrectly. I thought it might have been a technical issue in regards to the use of Sendle. I was not aware an item could be accidently marked as delivered when it hasn't.
