I've just paid via Paypal for item which stated the payment was pending

I really need some advise here. I have just paid for item  when it went through Paypal adivsed the payment was pending (it usually just goes straight through to payment sent to seller and there are enough funds in my bank account). I checked my payment on the paypal site and have found that the seller is "unregistered" and there is a facility beside my payment to cancel the payment. What on earth is going on and what do I do?

cancel the payment.

take a deep breath

call paypal.

then, send the seller a message through eBay messages, letting them know what's going on.

It is probably something as sinmple as a new seller who has not connected their paypal account or verified it or something.

Same thing just happened to me 20 mins ago.   Not a new seller at all.

Never seen that before!  I've cancelled my transaction and messaged seller.

Funny thing though,  it was my second transaction.  The first went through

without a problem.   I don't like to pay in bulk, so pay seperately

Thanks for all your help here. I rang paypal soon after I posted this, and was advised to cancel the payment and message the seller which I did. Seller sent me a manual invoice (paypal's advice) so I was able to pay. I'm still waiting to receive the item so hopefully all will be ok. Hope this doesn't happen again, it's been a very difficult transaction (seller didn'tt respond to 3 emails I've sent asking for help here).

Sorry your purchase hasn't been finalised.  I assumed it had been fixed.

I cancelled my payment and messaged seller to let them know I had been

trying to pay. They replied that they would check things their end.

I tried again a couple of hours later and it went through with no problems.

Received my item 2 days later.....zooom...fast post....gave good fb 

edit:  seller not responding to 3 messages!  I'd give low stars for

communication for that!
