Ebay have shut down their call centre, while there is a pandemic.

Best you can hope for is an on-line chat.

The 1800 number goes direct to the USA.....it has been closed down for weeks.

When I signed up for eBay Plus one of the benefits they touted was a 1800 number should I have any questions or need a hand. As I asked I would have thought this would get you a person to talk to? Like many supposed benefits eBay promote they tend to over promise and under deliver.

Was there any hint of the coronavirus pandemic when you joined?

The 1800 numbers all worked well until the pandemic arrived and ebay and paypal closed down all their phone contact services.

It is  bit shortsighted to blame any business for not providing all their usual services during these trying times.

I've always found the online chat helpful. Usually I don't have to wait more than a minute or two to get through, I can be doing other things on the computer at the same time, and afterward a transcript is emailed through so you've got proof of what's been explained/promised etc.
