ebay is corrupt

I want to buy an item of which has a considerable price tag.
I want to look at it and check it out before blindly handing the money over to ebay without seeing it.
I know why ebay blocks contact between buyers and sellers, it pure corrupt greed.
Ebay misses out on my money because i cant go look  at item first.
ebay has shot themselves in the foot again forcing me to drive the 1600 kms round to find the exact same
item in a proper store.

The only time you post is when you have a problem with eBay procedures (which you agreed to when you joined, as periodically updated). Which seems to be often recently.

You have already claimed eBay to be a scam, why are you still here? The prohibition of presale contact has been in for years.

I'd wait a while personally. Petrol prices are forecast to drop.

Re: ebay is corrupt

1600 k's to go buy something ... FT ....
BS ... even if petrol price drops I still have to go through 4 tanks to get there and back.
it wasnt claimed ebay is a scam, its a well known fact.
I dont care if ebay boffins don't read here, someone has to eventually, maybe get of their fat greedy butts
and do something about it, (however very unlikely)
also its not often I am going to hand over large amounts of money for something with four figure price tags.
who in there insane mind is going to hand over that amount in good faith that the item is actually
what it is stated to be in the condition its described as regardelss of the sellers rating or feedback.
this is BS site and there is no where else to go.
Put it in this perspective, are you going to hand over $5000 for example, to a card yard for a car before you go and see it?
I doubt you would. because car yards are equally as dodgy as ebay. Why should ebay be an exception?

Ebay is a buyers paradise, meaning that when I pay for an item I have the option of the 30 days MBG or 180 days PayPal guarantee.

So no I wouldn't pay $5000 for a car without inspecting it first as ebay don't cover car sales it's a known fact.

But I have paid thousands of dollars for an item on ebay without seeing it.

I then did receive it and it was as described, but if it wasn't what I purchased then I would have opened a claim through ebay or PayPal depending on the circumstances.

Point is if you're buying something that's not covered by ebay or PayPal then of course you would want to see it first.

But if I'm buying something that's covered then I'm happy to go in blind folded.

Re: ebay is corrupt

I,ve purchased several rare, Australian antique books on ebay from European sellers for four figure sums. Every one has proven to be a bargain and I,ve resold them here in Australia at specialist book auctions for very healthy profits. Hav'nt had any problems so far and as others have said, if not as described I will just put in a claim.

Like everything though it pays to do your homework and deal with reputable, professional sellers with a long record of successful sales. Many of these businesses have B & M stores as well as online and have good reputations built up over years that they don't want to risk. If you deal with private sellers or fly by nighters offering deals that seem too good to be true, you are just asking for trouble..

It's easy to not use the boards. If you don't log in and read them, you won't be offended by those other eBay members who haven't spat the dummy. After all, if you don't want to use eBay, why would you want to post on the boards? Anybody can read them, even non-members.

Best way to do that is read up on the board policies and start breaking as many as you can, then sooner or later you'll get a lifetime ban from here.

We will obviously miss you desperately.
