Are they the ones from the lake?

Is there anyway to test to see if she had a seizure, after the event?

Re: Another tragedy

No idea if they can tell, especially if it was just a dizzy spell.  A seizure, perhaps they can test.

More beautiful children lost.  Hope the fourth one recovers completely.

I was wondering if she had a seizure when I heard the story. When I heard she said she felt dizzy and then she was in the water I wondered again if she had had a seizure.

Re: Another tragedy

I just hope it's not another like Robert Farquharson's 3 boys

He said he had a coughing fit

Re: Another tragedy

Doubt it, she is a woman and has 7 children. Only 4 of them in the car.

Yes, same here.  There are rather large differences though.  He left the boys in the car in the lake and ran to taunt the mother.  This woman was rescued from the car, is my understanding.

Yes she was rescued from the car.  Two of the children died at the scene and the third later in hospital.  Thankfully the fourth child is improving, but not out of the 'woods' yet.

I sincerely hope it was just an accident, and nothing sinister.

Re: Another tragedy

The mother has now been charged with murder and refused bail.

The prosecution summary further says at the time Guode was being plagued by rumours, chased by debt collectors and $700 worth of Centrelink payments had been cancelled.

She owed almost $4,000 to gas and electricity companies, and Telstra, and was also sending money to her parents in Sudan, the court documents say.

She was planning to move to Morwell to escape rumours that had dogged her relationship with the father of her four youngest children, who was married to another woman, the prosecution summary says.

The day of the alleged murders, there was a rumour circulating that due to community pressure, the children's father, Joseph Manyang, was leaving Guode and moving back with his wife, the summary says.

I sincerely hope she doesnt get off on some sort of temporary insanity plea.
