Great.  So now our electricity bills will come down and more business will be able to continue trading and not go bust and there's a real good chance that the price of your Krispy Kremes will be reduced.

Yep, lots to celebrate. Now the big polluters have free reign to continue to pollute as much as they like with no repurcussions. And Australia is now seen throughout the world as a regressive and backward country and is becoming a laughing stock. One of the only countries to deny that global warming is an issue. But we do have Tony. And he knows more than all scientists all over the world. Just sickening. And even though the major companies are already saying that their prices won't come down gullible people are still under the illusion that they will.

Make sure your address is correct on the electoral roll, so that your $550 cheque is sure to arrive.

The Carbon Tax has just been repealed.

This is great news for Australian families and for our nation’s small businesses.

Scrapping the Carbon Tax is a foundation of the Government’s Economic Action Strategy.

Scrapping the Carbon Tax will save the average family $550 a year.  You’ll see the benefits in coming power bills.

In keeping with our election policy, the Government’s consumer watchdog, the ACCC, has been given the funding and power to ensure that savings are passed on to consumers.

Scrapping the Carbon Tax will also take a cost burden off Australian businesses – this will make it easier for them to compete and create more jobs.

At the election, the Coalition made a pledge: to scrap the Carbon Tax, stop the boats, get the Budget under control and build the roads of the 21st century.  All these commitments were designed to help families.

We are honouring our commitments to you and building a strong and prosperous economy for a safe and secure Australia.

Regards,

Tony Abbott
Prime Minister

Pass me the bucket. This man is a disgrace. It's all about point scoring. Bad luck about the affects on the country and it's people.

Tell me Nero, what makes you so happy about the repeal? Is it all about the supposed $550 saving? Do you also deny all the experts on global warming and do you truly believe that a career politician knows better. Would you go to someone for a health issue because they believed that waving hands over you cured you or would you go to a doctor who, through research and proof, was able to cure you? I would be interested to know what you are so delighted about.
