i was under the asumption disposing of human waste in the general rubish was against the law.

if thats so there is tones of soiled nappies being dumped into waste that shouldnt be.

i bet if i pooed in a bucket all the time then tipped it into my big green bin ready for collection by council and they got 'wind' of it.

wow, and what a stink that would be!

id be in big trouble!

and yet families all over are doing exactly that by putting old nappies in the bin!

LOL - I must admit I did have a chuckle at you two.

Firstly - I used cloth nappies.

Where do you think the - mess went - into the bucket to soak.

Into the washing machine.

No - deposited where it usually is & flushed.

Please don't poo in a bucket David. Robot wink

Yes Dom, two boys who've never had kids discussing nappies.

Cloth nappies here  as Dom says, waste went in the toilet.

I only had the one, but she had four, and she also used cloth.

When mine was borm 50 years ago it was all cloth nappies.  Excretement went into the toilet then nappies into the copper to boil.  After that through the wringer then out into the sun.

How many young people know what a copper is or for that fact have the room for one.

No flue on ours.

It was hooked up to the gas.  When the hot water system broke down, we attached

a garden hose to the tap and ran it through the house to the bathroom

Of course we know what a copper is.
It's one of those things that walk the streets in a high vis with a handgun on their hip
