Dementia and Telemarketing Calls

Has anyone any advice re telemarketng calls when the person answering the calls has dementia.

List your home, mobile or fax number to reduce telemarketing calls. Registration is free.

As an afterthought - Companies that you have contracts with. like gas,

electric and so forth are allowed to call.

Charities are also exempt.

Charities can hound you into the grave!!

Has the phone a function to block numbers?  if so, someone could perhaps add the charity numbers to the block/ignore list?

Would  the person be capable of using  a very simple seniors mobile phone? then you could  disconnect the landline altogether.

I have a sign next to my door bell "Please do not knock

no sales people please" - about an hour ago I had 2 young

adults at the door with cook books. Argggggggggg

Do not call register doesnt work for overseas telemarketers

I have the No Call register on all the phones. He doesn't answer the landline anymore. But lately he has been recieving them on his mobile. Yes they all seem to be from overseas. My concern is if he agrees to sign up for a change of, phone, electricty or something like that.

Put a recorded message on the home phone answering machine.

Tell him to only answer if it's family - get rid of the mobile.
