Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

what happens to this thread if the LNP are kicked out in a couple of weeks?

Does someone start a new thread to complain about a Labor Government?

What happens if there's a hung parliament?

I see interesting times ahead.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

why is it that LNP pollies keep asking the Teal Independents to declare their voting intentions in parliament yet they have, and maintain, a โ€˜secretโ€™ Coalition Agreement?

The response from Teal Independents to questions about their voting intentions should be โ€œmake public the Coalition Agreement firstโ€.  That would shut them up.

For me, this 2022 election comes down to a couple of key simple points:

- who will establish an Integrity Commission with retrospective investigation powers and open hearings?

- could I cope with 3 more years of Morrison?

If they "declare" which party they would vote for in the event of a hung parliament are they saying they are really that party under a different name ?

It is clear that the Climate200 backed teal independents are targeting LNP held seats.  I donโ€™t think they will back a Morrison as PM minority government.

Love this:-

'The CSIRO estimates for transforming the energy grid to accommodate green power was minimum $1 trillion .. almost our entire GDP. Where is that money coming from Albo?'

What a stinking government we just got-how long before it turns sour? 3 months?

Foul stinking wong and marles,   ABC even had the election coverage in CHINESE  (what about other languages Hindi?-loyalty right on display there).
