I won a puppy at the local school fete when I was a kid.
But Mum made me give it back and exchange it for a beach towel.
😞

My deaf kitty is a rescue 'free to good home' cat. He was bred as an extreme flat face Persian and was born with multiple problems. I took him, thinking he wouldn't live long. That was 12 years ago! And $$$$ in vet bills. But he's still going strong except for primary hypertension for which I have to pill (God help me) him every night.
My other kitty came with the deaf kitty because he was the deaf kitties 'hearing' buddy so I didn't want to separate the two of them. This one has IBS.
The third kitty we bought when we were out shopping for a new sofa. We couldn't walk past her (last kitten in the pet shop window) so we bought her instead of the sofa. She cost almost $1000.

ah yes, the putting a pill into a cat.
the vet demonstrates just how easy it is and you say, oh i can do that.
then you get home and pusscat says ha, no you wont.
