Handbags Don't Have To Match Shoes Anymore!

I'm loving the trendy new colours of handbags ppl are carrying around:

I recently bought one very similiar to this and I love it.

 Thank goodness I don't have to have shoes to match.

Out with the old browns blacks or burgundies.

Hubs never did match my shoes anyway lol.

And you had to wear matching gloves too.    LOL

No, can't say I've ever cared for the matching shoes and handbag rule.  I like my shoes with colour.

Imastawka is right, that "rule" was well and truly over and out by the late 60's, maybe earlier.

Colourful handbags have been around for quite a few years also. Lots of them left at sale time.

Luckily the world had moved on from then by the time I was ready for fashion.

Back in the 60's when I was working, my shoes and bag matched.

I dont worry about it now.

True. I have a stunning purple one years oild and still like new.  It looks great and is horrible to use so it collects dust.
