Has anyone had laser acupuncture, esp for upper back pain?
It has been recommended to me, but I'm unsure.
I've never had any acupuncture at all.
Does it work or not?
And how many sessions will I need?

Thanks Graham. That sounds encouraging.
Maybe I should have it on my hips and throw away the walking stick!
A few years ago, I went to the zoo with the grandkids, and because I can't
walk long distances, we got a free wheelchair.
At every viewing platform, when I got out of the chair to take a closer look,
granddaughter would exclaim loudly to the crowds, and gesture towards me.......
"Behold, it's a miracle!" making me the focus of everyone's attention.
At least they thought it was funny

I had 2 sessions and I finally got a very minor dose of hayfever this year.
it feels like a few pin pricks on your skin. it certainly didn't hurt all those years ago and it would be much improved these days.
i haven't had the laser though.
It certainly works and it was the best thing I've ever done.
Go for it!!!
Same here.

Haven't had laser acupuncture myself, but found traditional acupuncture beneficial for my back pain.
However, I can tell you that laser acupuncture is becoming widely used in veterinary practice, particularly in dachshunds who are prone to back problems. It is used both in post-surgery recovery and in what is known as "conservative" treatment, where they are kept under strict crate rest for at least a couple of months along with drug and complementary therapies.
Owners report seeing noticeable improvement after laser treatment, traditional style also works but it is much harder to keep animals still while the needles do their work. My own dog had usually managed to dislodge at least half before the vet returned to remove them.
