Congratulations kopen and runners up.
I thought we might have seen more clothes around the era of Tende's photo. I will probably have nightmares about freddie jumping out of wardrobes and skulls on dinnersets.

maybe Tende and Joono are the only ones who keep old clothes

To Kopenhagen and the runners up.
I love the extra awards you have given, Pimpy. Very rewarding.
I do have very old clothes in my wardrobe, but could not find the time to take photos.
Was a very enjoyable challenge.

Well done Kopenhagen. I'd really like to know a bit more about your Dad. I was wondering whether he was a conservationist or what?

Hi joono,
A little about my father.
He was amongst those fathers that worked full time, members of various sporting clubs, on several committees and still had time to raise a family.
He was a Managing Director in one of the largest shipping n trading companies in the world at the time.
A time when large companies together with banks were not just about profit but ensuring the security and welfare of Nations by setting up and providing employment, shelter, food and clothing. It was all about managing the bigger picture.
My father was in England, Denmark, Japan, Pakistan, Thailand and of course Australia. Many of the Directors were known to enjoy the occasional parties, but my father was often asked to look after certain diplomats or VIP's of other Nations as he didn't partake in many frivolities and was considered a man of high integrity.
He also oversaw the development of new techniques within industries.
Just some of the industries the company was involved in were -
Meat producers
Dairy products
Grain n cereals
Fruit, veg and nuts
Coffee,tea,cocoa and spices
Animal feed
Beverages
Tobacco
Hides and skins
Oilseeds and kernels
Rubber incl synthetic
Wood, timber n cork
Paper pulp
Veg fibres
Textiles for yarns
Veg oil n fats
Chemicals
Varnish n paints
Pharmaceuticals
Furniture
Paper n cardboard goods
Fabrics
Porcelain
Iron n steel
Non ferrous metals
Metal goods
Machinery
Printing equipment
Electric machinery
Vehicles
Ships n shipping
My father also competed in the world water ski championships and helped the Japanese build their first water ski club in Japan.
Sailed an olympic class yacht, Dragon in Denmark.
Everywhere he went, he was always very positive and willing to help. He still is and enjoys sharing cooking experiences from around the world with others. So keen to share the best of what he knows.
He has always been the rock in my life and kept our family strong. At 86 years of age and 100% here, still completely fit, I totally admire him and feel priviledged to have been born into this family.
