Well done, RCH drs for putting the children first and standing up to our politicians and their heart breaking stance on asylum seekers.
Solved! Go to Solution.

of course they are sworn to an oath- but it would be more 'hypocritical" of them to treat people with predjudice as some here want them to do

We would need to build a lot
More hospitals if every child
In australia
Were withheld from going home
Because they had behavioral
Problems
Every child between the ages
Two and three would be admitted

Its the same old rhetoric being used as an excuse to villify those who do not believe that all muslims are terrorists.
It is not illegal to seek asylum.
If I remember correctly, there is something like 400 children in the general community under residence determinations, 100 in onshore detention facilities and 93 still on Nauru.

On second thoughts
Make that two to
Eighteen

If that is what people believe, no wonder there is overprescribing of amphetamines for children.

And, something like 3,500 children are in the community with their parents under bridging visas.

It is very telling in regards to the attitude towards children in detention though, if that what is believed about children in general. A bit sad, really, but it does give an insight into where the mindset comes from.

It is one thing to love and nurture children
But to use them as a tool to achieve a political
Agenda
That is another story
