I enjoy reading this page. But having to scroll past 20 of his inane posts, to get to something worth reading is time consuming.
You need people who will start new threads or else there would be nothing to read.
I don't mind his topics. There are some others here that I scroll past but I can see they must interest others as they have dozens of pages. To each his own, variety is good.
I'll tell you a little about another board I am on (in England). It was the best board ever, such variety. People from all over. But many who didn't agree and it sure got heated. Then we would read some people saying how much better things would be if so and so wasn't on there causing trouble etc.
Eventually so and so would drop out and someone else would take over the role. Some board members died, some drifted away. The board is still there and it is all sweetness and light, nothing but jokes and a few memes, is that the word? The old debates and fights are no longer. Hardly anyone goes there now, there's nothing to get your teeth into. I had my own protagonist Max and even he stopped dropping by once I stopped visiting.
Just saying-be careful what you wish for.
It's pretty easy to scroll past threads, not so easy to get posters who will stay and start topics.
