My 8yr old grandson had a covid test, a couple of weeks later he declared he was too sick to go to school but made a miraculous recovery when advised he might need another covid test.
All the best.

Hope all is well David and it's a 'spit in the cup' test, not a 'stick up the nose' test.

ok, had my test
it was stick up nose and stick down throat
neither was much fun
the down throat was the worse of the 2 for me
the doctor felt it was unlikely i have the virus but was very pleased i took the time and effort to have myself tested.
i now wait for a call with the result
as i hardly go out anyway my life wont be disrupted
i guess i came into contact with someone with a cold prolly last wednesday whist shopping or the previous sunday.
i sure havent been in close proximity with anyone (within a metre) at all
besides walking past them.

Strict isolation until you get test results as it is presumed you are infected

of course, unlike many i am NOT a moron
i drove alone to the clinic, had the test and came straight home.
and i wont be going anywhere besides taking the dog out for a pee/poo until i get the all clear

Good on you for going and getting tested, David. 🙂
I felt the same way a couple of weeks ago and got tested, and thankfully it was negative.
Apart from the test itself, the worst part was keeping myself amused and occupied for the intervening days until the result arrived.
Stay positive about not being positive, ha ha...
🙂

That nasal swab borders on barbaric. I had one.
Terrahertz radiation to the rescue ( fingers crossed ).
If this gets approved and works well then our borders can open up overnight.

Just remembered. Hate to tell you but the nasal swab is only around 70% accurate
and should be repeated with a different sample. This was the advice given to me
by the Covid-19 testing clinic at Gosford Hospital.
Bugger that. I will now just take care and wait for a less barbaric test.
The only reason I had one was because I returned from OS with a cough. Not a
Covid-19 cough but the doc said ( over the phone ) get tested.
