Hi
I came across a book advertised on ebay written by a convicted rapist.
In it he names the lady and gives a description about the rape.
I thought it was illegal to make proceeds from crime?
The book is called Operation Blizzard and I would like to know how I can get it banned from Ebay.
The following is a link about the book
Anyway any help would be appreciated

Might depend on what date/year the crime was committed. It could have been before the Proceed of Crimes Act was implemented.
The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (the Act) was passed on 11 October 2002 and came into operation on 1 January 2003.

IMO, I would think if the Book has already been published, it's on the market, so to answer your question, No.

The OP's link is to The Australian, nothing suspect ( as pointed out a dead end unless you pay to become a subscriber)
From what I have read from details of the book online, it was before 2003, so the Proceeds of Crime Act wouldn't apply to the author.

I wouldn't bother.................. just a quick perusal was a great irritation, spelling and grammar are essential if you want to make money from a book.
He won't make any.

I couldn't see you getting far if you tried to have it banned from ebay. I think it would be fruitless to try. 😞
