Clearly we're all selling the wrong thing.

Like your brekkie cereal?    Keep the box.

Re: Empty Boxes Pay Well

The listing reads like you do.      But I don't think so

It's an old 1 lb box.   Original Disney Jungle Book came out in '67.

But how does the seller find so many of them  - that gets me

Whatchoo talkin' about, Willis?

It's not unusual for a lot of feedback from the same buyer in collectables

(even though it's not listed in collectables)

Re: Empty Boxes Pay Well

I sold an empty cereal box for $700 once....found it in a pile of scrap cardboard in my brothers room. Somehow it had survived about 40 years. The guy came and picked it up, paid cash, I asked what he was going to do with it and he said put it in the cupboard with the rest of the cereal box toys. Weird...

Re: Empty Boxes Pay Well

It's amazing what becomes collectable over the years. Those of you old enough to remember the old Arnotts Biscuit Tins from the 60's & 70's will be kicking yourselves like I am for throwing them all out..... If anyone has one with the picture of the Swaggy sharing a brew with Santa by his Campfire in the lid let me know..... They're worth a fortune...... I think the last one I had I blew it up with a 3 Penny Bunger on Cracker Night (Guy Forks Night) one year - lol....

Re: Empty Boxes Pay Well

It's well worth remembering that one of the reasons these things are so valuable to collectors is that we DID throw them away in vast numbers - if we had all hung on to our empty bikky tins, they would have nowhere near the value they do now!

Cheers,

Marina.
