Hi,
I have some old collectable A3 size magazines to sell on eBay.
What is the cheapest postage option available? If I charge $7.90 parcel nobody would buy it.
Thanks

A3 size is 297mm x 420mm - too large for a letter size, Eezi
Large letter max is 260mm x 360mm and 20mm thickness

Large letter rate depending on the weight and for magazines I think might start at $3

Thanks for your reply.
I will experiment by sending some magazines to myself to see what gets through.

Good luck with that. Sometimes it's hit and miss whether they get through.
Trouble is, if they don't, you get hit with the parcel post cost plus a fine

Its worth checking the adverts in these depending on what they are. Some of the old Australian Walkabout, PIC & OZ Post magazines had adverts for FJ Holdens etc. in. Some of these adverts sell OK and they can sometimes be trimmed to fit the Large Letter. If they are old Womans magazines, the Coke and food products ads are saleable. The old A3 size Australian surf magazines ( tracks ) and music newspaper type mags have a following, particularly for articles about specific artist and can be worth perhaps $20 with $8.00 postage on top.
To pack them get some heavy ribbed cardboard. Cut rectangle slightly larger than mag. Cut a second sheet after turning card 90 degrees. This runs the card ribs in the opposite direction. Place mag in middle and tape right around the edges.

I've posted magazines before in a large tough bag envelope the ones that are hard to tear and they were big enough to fit a magazine in and it cost $3 standard post with 3 magazines in them.
But hey that was wayz back when yep u know lol

Chameleon54 - Thanks for the great tips!
I'll have to revert to plastic bags to wrap up the rubbish.
Maybe they'll become extinct and I can eBay those!
Anyway, I had no idea about the car or food advertising.
Going to spend the weekend sifting through the shed looking for those mags.
