As you are 66 years old, you ought to have better manners than to yell at other people on a member to member forum eBay do not read

Using all capitals is considered to be "shouting".

Paragraphs and spacing are your friend.

Few people will read your post as it is just too hard.

Ebay doesn't read here at all, only moderators.

Good luck taking Ebay to court - hope you have deep pockets.

Something must have happened prior to last August for them to take this action, although I do agree that they should at least tell you why. One possible reason is if you incurred a high rate of defects either through late shipment, or a high rate of cases closed without resolution. If you still have access to your Seller Hub, you can look at your seller level and it will show you the the defect rate. If you click on the box to expand it, you can download reports for each section.

There is no "legal team" to speak to. When you contact customer service, they are just low paid workers in developing countries who are mostly useless anyway.

You do not have to have a criminal conviction to be considered a risk.  It can relate to  any number of things,

IE:  Credit rating,  Known Associates, Communication links  etc etc etc etc etc..................

Ebay are no obliged to tell you the reason your account has been restricted, and in some instances it can actually be illegal for them to divulge such information to you.

If you intend making threats of or instigating legal action against ebay, then I suggest you  do it through a legal professional, and not carrying on on a public forum

RESTRICTED FROM SELLING

Hi

Here is the full details of what they have done.

This occurred as Ebay were setting up there payment methods from Paypal to themselves.

I had a customer requiring a pair of new fenders fro a Ford Escort. Our storage warehouse showed we hade 1 pair left in stock. When we picked them up from the warehouse we found one of the boxes damaged and when we removed the fender also found that to be damaged.

We messaged the customer and told him that one of the pair was damaged and we wouldnt send him a damaged panel.

We had not received any payment from the customer into our account.

Funds had instead gone direct into a Ebay holding account.

Customer agreed It easier to cancel the order and wait until another shipment of panels were brought in from overseas UK.Meanwhile Ebay contacted us requesting we refund the customer? They were informed the funds the customer had paid were in Ebays own holding account and we didnt have access to the funds.Ebay then wanted me to update my credit card details and they would take the funds from my credit card even though we had never received any monies/funds for the sale of the items and with the new Ebay setup where Paypal is no longer in the loop.It was  meant to be a simple method of Ebay sending the funds they had received back to the customer. This dragged out for weeks with our customer sending emails to Ebay explaining that I was trying my upmost to get the mistake made by Ebay rectified and this was in No way our fault and kept pushing Ebay to refund guy and the funds sent from Ebay back to him. This eventually took place approx 1 month to 6 weeks later. We then find that after Ebay agreeing it was there mistake and there would be No comeback on ourselves, everything was meant to be good. Then a month later we find I have a seller Restriction put on our account and also a note of No Seller Resolution.

We didnt recieve the funds and have never been given the funds and I shouldnt have been asked to refund something I have never received in the first place Eaby had the funds. The customer is also disgusted this has occurred especially after all the many conversations over a period of weeks getting the customer his refund back from Ebay.Looks Honesty doesnt pay.

Perhaps this is because with the new payments - eBay will do a temporary hold on the amount - until successfully delivered to the customer.

Once delivered the temporary hold would have been withdrawn & in whatever time eBay release funds - they would have been credited to your account.

Goods couldnt be sent as one of the panels was damaged when unboxed so funds would not be released even if the pair of fenders were sent(which we wouldnt do).Customer cancelled the order and if it was done via Paypal and we had the funds into our Paypal account, then the funds would have be returned immediately.

dont expect $1800 to be taken from our credit card and if the goods werent sent as they were damaged we would be out of pocket the amount when the customer doesnt receive them by Ebay rules

I can certainly understand your frustration.  But EBay will NEVER claim to be at fault.

Iโ€™m really not sure what you can do about it though. Customer service is non existent, and in all honesty, you will get better advice on this members forum, than you would through their help set-up.

I also wonder what actual good, taking it to court will achieve. EBay will drag it out for years and years and YEARS and you will not only be broke, but destitute too. It will also rid you of a life, and affect your health.

PICK YOUR BATTLES, MY FRIEND.

Ebay has gone downhill โ€ฆ. Start fresh on a new selling platform and just give eBay the bird!
They are now, equivalent to platforms like *wish* which is equivalent to shops like *the reject shop*  IMO.  Full of cheap, overseas, rubbish!

Honestly, taking this any further is just not worth the hassle, and you wonโ€™t get any further satisfaction from it.

Yes

I know its like knocking your head against a brick wall.I have been in our Motorsport business for 30 years and always relied solely on good feedback and word of mouth. Its pretty disheartening when copping this sort of stuff when I know I have done nothing wrong and always looked after our customers.Especially after getting Ebay to a apologise to the problem they had caused initially and agreeing no more consequences. Then to change there minds with No reason given,I think personally is wrong

Sounds like you need EBayโ€™s managed payments dept to give you a call - here is how you can receive a Phone Call

At the top of your eBay page Click on Help - when this opens type in Managed Payments - when this opens you will see Options, click on the option that reads โ€œ Start Getting Paid on EBay โ€ when this opens Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and Click on โ€œ Have us Call you โ€ you will then have someone from the Managed Payments Dept give you a call , you will then hopefully will be able to sort out your problem

hope this will help have this sorted
