Re: Upgrade to Word 10

If you are referring to Windows 10, no, almost everything stays the same.

It can take a couple of hours to complete the upgrade though.

Re: Upgrade to Word 10

A lot of people regret upgrading, so do some research before you hit the go button.

Re: Upgrade to Word 10

My friendly techie advised me last weekend that there are still bugs with Windows 10 and not to upgrade just yet.

You still have 6 months to upgrade for free so it is better to wait and see if they get rid of the bugs.

Re: Upgrade to Word 10

I upgraded when it first came out.

Haven't found any bugs that affect me adversely....yet

I'm quite happy with the layout, once you get used to it

It has an inbuilt browser called Microsoft  'Edge'  -   don't mind it at all

Re: Upgrade to Word 10

It was because of your remarks that I asked him about Windows 10 when I saw him last weekend so he could give my lappy a bit of a tweak.    He has never been wrong with his advice in all the years he has been bailing me out of trouble.Smiley Wink

Don't buy anymore lyndal your feedback numbers look cool. Smiley Very Happy

I haven't had any issues with win10 apart from initially I needed to uninstall chrome as it wasn't working and reinstall it.

Oh yes, it does look good doesn't it?! 5555. Just thought I'd add the number in in case she gets new feedback and others are wondering why the comment was made.

I have Win 7, so won't be upgrading (not sure if I even can), but my husband keeps getting prompted to upgrade to 10 (he's got Win8). I'll tell him to wait.
