Why is it that a buyer can write a bad review, but the seller can't write a bad review on the buyer

Why can't a seller write a bad review on a buyer, who fails to complete a transaction after being the winning bidder.

Ebay will still charge you a translation fee ,

you can get this charge reimbursed but takes a lot of time and is made quite difficult

That's because eBay introduced a new system which works much better.

Instead of leaving neg feedback, now you open an unpaid item case to get your fee back and buyer gets a strike on their account that stays for 12 months.

You then set up blocks on your account so anyone with 2 or more strikes cannot bid on your items.

Also add this buyer to your BBL so they can't do it again.

Ebay stopped sellers from leaving negative feedback some time ago to stop retaliatory negatives.

It is a far better system to give the buyer a strike on their account.  Two of those and they cannot bid on items when the sellers have their blocks in place.

How hard is it to open a dispute after 4 days if the buyer does not pay, then close it 4 days later.  If they still have not paid you get your fee and the buyer gets a strike.  And it would only take a couple of minutes to click on a few buttons.

Go to the unpaid item on your selling page. Click the drop down on the right and select resolve a problem. On the next screen select the option that you sold an item and the buyer hasn't paid. Then continue. It will show you the transaction and then you submit.

4 days later and not a second before,  go back to the drop down and select close case. On the next screen will show you the open dispute. Click the drop down on the right and select the option to get your fees back.

On the next screen, if the option to select no the buyer hasn't paid is not active, look at the top of the screen and it will show you the earliest you can close it,  down to the second. Come back then and try again.

You can't do any of this via the app so if that's your only access to eBay, open eBay in a browser, go to your selling page, then down the bottom of the page is a link to go to the full/desktop version.

If you get stuck, sing out. Oh, as mentioned, add this buyer to your blocked list (I can't leave the link at the moment as I'm not on my computer) and set up blocks to stop serial pests (again, can't give link for the same reason).

If the buyer pays while the dispute is open it will automatically close it and you post off as normal.
