Re: do we have to take registered payments

No, if you're actually referring to MANAGED payments.

You can choose to not sell on eBay, which is the alternative.

Yes, you will need to register sooner or later  otherwise Ebay will not allow you to list new items and will not renew those which are already listed.

Re: do we have to take registered payments

Do you mean payments like Afterpay?
I am about 5 years behind on ebay updates so I have no idea, will it apply to sellers of secondhand goods?

I think I need to get myself up to date pretty soon.

Doesn't matter, bump. They will all go through eBay Managed Payments. Or for those not yet subject to that albatross, Paypal.

Afterpay is already available to buyers.

Re: do we have to take registered payments

No, not at the moment. I signed up for it as I wanted to get in early.

Who knows what will happen though? I mean, nobody talks about the likelihood of ebay going to back to paypal. There are so many mistakes and I have only been on them for a couple of weeks. Paypal is still a huge part of ebay (still accepts buyers payments) so it won't be hard for ebay to switch back.

I've been on Managed Payments since the end of July on both my accounts and have had no issues at all (touch wood). I actually like it so far.

I have never been 'invited' via email (or any other means) of switching to managed payments. Should i be worried?
