I have had buyers who have false shipping addresses. I send the shipping quote via invoice and when it comes to shipping the item the address is actually a completely different country where shipping is usually higher. I refunded a recent buyer's payment because of this and they gave me negative feedback. The quote was for the US and the shipping address was near Germany and about $10 more in postage,

Just because the delivery address and ebay address differ doesn't mean it was false. He may have been buying it for somebody else, same as I have done for my father in NSW despite my living in Qld.

As long as you send it to the address as specified in the Paypal advice and have the proper tracking, you are covered by Paypal's Seller Protection in the event it becomes an INR.

I hate to say it but you set yourself up for that neg.

Look at the listing in question first: seller clearly shows different postage rates to different countries: ~$40 for USA, ~$57 for Belarus (not really near Germany, part of former USSR).

OP: did you discuss situation with the buyer, ie: demanding extra payment for postage? IMHO negative feedback is not justified, try discussing it with Ebay. (Good luck with that)

That's your opinion but it isn't a solution. The same name was given in both addresses. You clearly don't know what you are talking about and just making a judgement. I wanted a reply from someone from eBay who knows what they are dealing with, not someone's comment.

I didn't want a pedestrian reply, but rather from someone who is actually part of ebay staff. People's opinions are nothing but that. Sorry I wasted my time here. So what if I got the location inaccurate. I already said that the quote I gave to the buyer was to a USA address. When he/she paid the shipping address was Belarus. The buyer paid for shipping to the USA. Please in future address the issue or leave advice to those who know what a query is about. If you are going to use acronyms, explain what you mean. I won't post any more queries on here anymore for pseudo experts to 'resolve'

If you want an answer from eBay you should contact them. This is a forum for members, eBay just about never answer anything on here so don't hold your breath!
