I have offered to refund a buyer that received goods with damage (occurred in transit) they dont want to provide bank details - wants the funds returned to Papal - which is where they believe their funds went.
Can anyone help - dont seem to be able to contact ebay through chat like we used to be able to do

Firstly, have they proved this "damage" by sending you a picture?
Are you offering a full refund? If so, just cancel the transaction as that will send the refund back to whatever method of payment they used. If they paid purely with PP it will go back there, but if they used a credit card or bank transfer via PP, the money will go back to whatever the funding source was.

Are you asking for the goods to be returned?

Go to your Orders, Click on the relevant order number, Select send refund (Drop down menu on the right).
Then enter the amount to be refunded and complete.
