Suspect fake bids

I have a used pair of Nike runners listed and this morning I noticed that there are 2 bidders who have driven the price over $200. Clearly either an error in the decimal points the person is bidding or it's just a fake.

It's a bit of a worry that a stock photo was used for the gallery pic.

That's against policy for a 2nd hand item.

The actual runners look a bit grubby and worn.

Some buyers don't go past the first pic

I hadn't noticed that.

Also stock pic has orange from the side on the soles. Look very different.

I would be worried sending these out as the buyer may think they look brand new from the main pic.

Not sure why anyone would put a stock photo up as there were several of the actual shoes. They were clear & surely what a buyer would be more interested in-the item they would be buying.

I wouldn't pay $200 but I know nothing about the value of these or rare editions or whatever. You'd be hard pressed getting $200 out of me for new shoes, let alone second hand.Smiley Very Happy

Re: Suspect fake bids

Well OP's auction has finished, and there were no more bids.

Top bid $202.50

Let's hope they pay up
