all you drongos have missed the point,I am complaining about the refunds that ebay gives to customers when they order a part to find out if it fits or fixes the problem that they are having, than after using the item & finding that (it does not fit,it does not fix the problem)they return the item at my expense.

I pay to pack,to post, have to pay for the item to be returned, finish with a used item & you mongrels think that ebay is a top company

If you have a B&M store, this is also a common problem with spare parts for appliances

People buy a part,  it doesn't fit or fix the problem and bring it back - used.

But,the item must be returned in the condition it was received.

If it isn't then you inform ebay of this.

If their complaint is that it was damaged in transit, then

that is down to your poor packaging.

I also noticed you sell descaler and pressure pack oven cleaner.

These are prohibited goods that should not be sent in the mail

Yes, it is a deeply flawed system, one that may just be the death knell for eBay! I would have to say I side with you on this, yes there is an argument to offset these losses by setting a small amount from each sale, or building it in to the price, but with all eBays other fees, and the fact that they are supposed to act as agents, then why should anyone have to do this, especially when any sane and logical person could see that in some cases the seller has done all the right things?

I agree that is people just keep 'bending over and taking it' then nothing will change! There is a very famous quote that begins with "at first they came for the socialists, I was not a socialist, so i did not speak out, then they came for the trade unionists, I was not a trade unionists..........and on and on. Sadly most will only care when they are victims themselves.

Ditto at that.

Can only ride out the storm n see when it clears whats left....if ever.

Enough people will always be wiling to trade on ebay no matter what

policies are in place.

All you can do is reduce the risk.

I have sold and bought on ebay for a decade now.

I took a big break many years ago when the

fees went up 500% 1 year.

have noticed nearly each year on year new policies

that seem anti seller or anti small business.

but thats life...:)

they call it progress.

When it settles, most sellers will have raised their prices n changed

some settings n policies to continue on.

I believe the latest policies are to increase sales

for overseas sellers. buy with confidence from overseas.

Also divert sales to their new big business retailers

that have joined ebay.

Turning it more into a online shopping mall.

Sadly, I tend to agree with you - BUT - They are going about it all the wrong way....

Today I rec'd an E-Mail from a large Aussy Company that I've dealt with for years. This Firm started out as small Outfit in Tasmania & is now actually EXPORTING to all over the World...

After watching their U-Tube Presentation I was reminded of the part in the Movie "Titanic" when, after they had hit the iceberg, the Ships Designer, Captain & the Owners Rep had a meeting & looked at the Plans & Blueprints of the Ship. The Designer said "I'm sorry, but there's no doubt in my mind that Titanic WILL sink"... My point is that even the big Companies are now deserting Ebay because of their high FVFs & ridiculous anti Seller Policies....

Have a look & see what I mean... I'm sorry, but there's no doubt in my mind that E-tanic WILL sink....

Ebay will never be a Mall.. They've missed the boat & the Buying Public thinks it's on the nose.

Not sure if Dubli.com is a good thing but this shows that competition is coming & with it better places to sell...

That is exactly right, they treat good and honest sellers poorly.

Yes, it is definitely 'batton down the hatchett' time!!! Some of us are already in the basement with lights out and power off anyway Smiley Wink

Lets hope it is PROgress, seems a lot like REgress, sadly I have no confidence that eBay will recognise, and then implement changes to this ridiculous deeply flawed and imbalanced system?
