So I’ve bought a pair of AirPods for $160, and it said it would arrive between the 14-19th of may. Not long after purchasing the product the listing was removed for a “policy violation”. I saw this and decided to cancel the order, as there was no tracking available and it hadn’t arrived, it was also now the 20th of may. On the 28th of may my cancellation request was denied with it stating “your product will arrive on the 18th of may” but that was 10 days ago. I’ve also submitted for a refund but have heard nothing and don’t know how to get my money back. Any help is appreciated

·4 months agoYou would escalate if the seller has not responded, or if the seller’s response is inadequate or fails to resolve the issue.
Keep an eye out for the option to escalate popping up in the case/dispute/request.

OP4 months agoWell the seller never responded so eBay said they issued a full refund, I didn’t even take that further step.

OP4 months agoYeah I submitted an item not received claim. The listing does still show up on my purchase history with the image and details, however at certain times it says “listing removed because of a policy violation” and the image and details of the listing are gone. Hopefully I hear back soon through my item not received claim

You'll need to ask eBay to step in after 3 business days. You'll see it as an option.
It's not done automatically
sandypebbles
·4 months agoAs said, you need to follow through with the dispute or it will 'time out'
You will not hear back if you do not escalate it
Again, what is the item number?
po-409631
OP4 months agoYes well I filed for an item not received claim yesterday.
The item number is 366319059273.

·4 months agoWhat the others are telling you is that even though you filed a claim, that's not the end of it. You can't sit back now and think that's the end of it & ebay will deal with it from here on in.
You have to follow through. You'll have to escalate it if it is not solved. ie a refund, not a seller asking you to wait another 10 days or whatever.
po-409631
OP4 months agoYes I understand that, but I first have to wait for the sellers response don’t I?
sandypebbles
·4 months agoNo, you can escalate after 3 days, as explained above
If the seller does not respond, or responds with excuses/tries to trick you, you need to follow through within the time limit
No not 'just wait' after it has been 3 days, do it
po-409631
OP4 months agoYeah ok, I know I personally have to escalate it but thought it had to be after the sellers response. Thanks for the help

Is this an item not received" claim through eBay's Money Back Guarantee ?
https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy?id=4210
If yes, the seller has 3 business days to respond to the claim and if he doesn't , you can ask eBay to step in
If you haven't opened a claim and the item's not showing in your purchase history because eBay's removed it from the site, eBay can open a claim for you manually
Click on Contact Us at the bottom of my link and on the right hand side you'll see the automated assistant.
Ask to speak to an agent

·4 months agoBuyers cannot cancel, buyers can only *ask* the seller to cancel and the seller is not obligated to agree
Have you actually opened an item not received dispute?
What was the item number?
Where was the seller registered?
Were they an authorised seller of the brand?
Is the seller still registered?
Sounds as if it was a dodgy seller, selling a knock of 'Apple' product
