I’ve posted an item using Australia post & not eBay’s label, which eBay insisted I use

Please tell me I’m not alone.
Hi everyone, Thank you for taking the time to read my post. When it was announced that the “free to sell” was coming I was happy. I’m just a seller of my handmade crochet baby blankets. I love what I do and I don’t make much and I never expected too. Earlier this week I had my first sale on the “free to sell” way. I packaged my sale and off I went to the post office, paid my postage, uploaded tracking on Australia Post website and mobile app and then went to upload tracking to my buyer. Frustration kicked in. I spent the best part of a couple of hours trying to work out what was wrong. I then spent another hour with customer service. I thought I’d better advise my buyer their tracking number, which I did. I couldn’t even mark the purchase as “sent”. Customer service assured me that I wouldn’t receive a defect to my account if my account went into a “not shipped” loop. Am I being forced to use eBay labels? Will I lose my ability to sell on eBay if I don’t use them? I already have a discount QR code with Australia Post and eBay labels will cost more. Am I alone with the frustration or do other casual sellers share the same frustration?

I need to send a label to a buyer to send an item back but EBAY does not make it easy. I have no idea on where or how to print of a label for the buyer to send the item back

Why am I paying $7 to post a $12 small item that fits into a $1.70 envelope? Can I just print label, write out the address, cancel label and post at $1.70?

So, you sell say, a $1 paper note value $12 in the shops. You have to charge the buyer the item cost and $7 post pack, $19, to get the label and get the address? No-one will pay $19 for a $12 item. It fits into an envelope, $1.70. But you can't get buyer's address without a label. So what is to stop me printing a label, pay $7, write down the address, cancel the label, $7 will be refunded in a couple of days, pop it in an envelope, pay $1.70 at Australia post?????
