AI description waffle makes sellers skip info that actually matters

"Please stop encouraging sellers to use AI descriptions. They add zero value and waste my time. I need to know the exact condition of the specific item being sold, not a generic marketing essay. It makes shopping on eBay frustrating.

Parcel delays/dropshipping
I'm seriously going to leave EBAY after over a decade because of sellers incompetency. Waiting for parts for a month when the parts are only 2 days driving time away from me is unacceptable. It's costing me money to stay loyal to incompetency! Is anyone else having this problem? I'm suspicious they have dropshippers as sellers sourcing cheap Chinese products which cause unacceptable delays.

Locked 'Ask a Member' forum
Official Share Community Platform Feedback: "Best for leaving direct suggestions, suggesting new board features, and flagging platform errors" There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Australia will be the very LAST site to fix any glitches on the new forum, if they're fixed at all ! In order, it will be 1) US, 2) UK and 3) Australia. Three days ago, I looked at the US and UK sites and it became obvious what the problem is with our locked Ask a Member forum. The US site has the Ask a Mentor forum At the top of the page it shows: "Locked - Discussions in this board are limited to the original poster and Community Mentors" The UK site has the Member to Member forum At the top of the page it shows: "Locked - Discussion interactions are currently paused" Both sites have active threads with posts from members requesting help and replies from mentors. Thankfully we have no mentors in Australia. I spoke to eBay Help and was initially fobbed off with: "Similar to recent site migration delays in the US, communities typically experience temporary read-only status and pauses on discussion boards while migrating posts, accounts, and profiles over" I then explained AGAIN that we don't have mentors in Australia and this was the reply "Bevy has likely misconfigured the eBay Australia forum permission settings by copying the exact layout, rules, and restrictions meant only for the UK and US mentor spaces. Because the platform migration is actively handling the entire global community layout simultaneously, the system is accidentally applying the global "pausing non-mentor interactions" rule to the Australian "Ask a member" forum, effectively locking out regular users where no mentor program even exists" I told them we'd like it unlocked ASAP. Reply : "I will note it down as feedback and will forward it to management and site development team"

live video feeds distracting me and pissing me off
I didn't ask for this and I can't block it. It distracts me so much that when I logged in to check/reply to my eBay messages it took me three or four minutes longer. eBay has a virtual monopoly on buying and selling goods online and has gone on to abuse it. textbook example of enshittification.

turning off a promoted item grrrr
I listed some clothing for sale and decided to 'promote' it. Well, that was a big mistake. If you are a 'digital native', no problem, but if you are a mum and dad seller and not an IT person then look out with ebay's tactics. I had spend hours trying to TURN OFF the promotion and had to contact ebay twice online to fix it. Up shot is I lost $20 and sold nothing! When you know what to do, it seems easy, of course, but when you don't ... look out. Selling on ebay based on my experience is not worth it. And i have to say this community ebay think is a laugh, isn't it. If there is one think i've learned, it is that ebay does give a dam about it's customers and this bloggy thing is a way to redirect complaints.

Harassment by seller! WARNING!
You can ask them to stop, demand they stop, report them to Ebay, tell them they are harassing you... BUT THEY WILL KEEP MESSAGING YOU. Ebay is perfecting fine with this behaviour. Have you had a similar experience with sellers out of China?

EBAY HOW MUCH TAX DO YOU PAY IN AUSTRALIA ?? WHY DON'T YOU PUBLICLY DISCLOSE THIS INFO ??
EBAY i think its time you publicly displayed the amount of tax you pay to Australia. !!! And back date this for 10 years Many other large companies do disclose this info but you have stood fast in not wanting to disclose this info to the best of my knowledge. I have tried several time but it always tells me that eBay does not disclose this info at all....... I also think its time you open your account books to show us all how much you charge for yearly changes made to your website to reduce the taxable amount payable. You treat us ALL like mini businesses not normal mortal humans ,so why should you be able to hide this data behind privacy laws !!! I think Australia's would be rather surprised at the books !! Australias are also not wanting to be extorted by rubbish schemes any more ------ like paying double GST on postage unless we use eBay labels ! We pay GST to you cause your system works with free postage available so you add it into the total. When we pay the post office we pay GST there also... ! The dirty pyramid scheme of promoted listings 41% of all LEGO PARTS listings are promoted **bleep** Commerce is evil but you eBay take it to another level !!!!!!

eBay is useless these days and the fees are ridiculous!
I mean seriously The whole point of an auction to out-bid or only bid up to your budget... but now eBay allows anyone to cancel their bids anytime and as many times as they like... people just spending the whole time bidding and cancelling to test the other biding limits and gaming the system..... Good job

Ebay GUI interface is utter garbage
Ive only been a member on ebay since about 2001, whats that - 24 odd years. Is it just me, or is ebay just absolutely garbage with its half non-existing menu system. Buy stuff, or wanting to leave feedback, or contacting a seller directly --- half the time you end up on some page where there is no further buttons, no 'my ebay', no home button. And literally the only way back is to go : www.ebay.com (add your country), and start again. And we pay outrageous fee's for this badly designed utter garbage layout. Or is it just me? I would be embarrassed to have my name on such a backwards fubar'd system that is all over the shop, and nothing and no two pages are consistant with a standard layout. Its time ebay standardise their menu system. Remember the good old days of File, Edit, View? Simple and worked well. Im not saying that this exact system would work here, but far out - it has to be better than ending up on some page after buying / selling / contacting a seller, and having no way out or back to your home screen other than writing out www.ebay.com or hitting your ebay favourite. As I said, this is backwards and a garbage layout. See Facebook's dopey layout? Far far superior than ebay! /Rant over/

This seller are the worst, they took cash and sent nothing, they then sent fake tracking to another address and will not answer or admit. eBay has been contacted, agreed and are PUNNISHING them for their fake and false claims. do not use these thieves. they MILL NOT SEND YOUR ITEMS

Repair of trust beautifully executed
I bought some drops from a company. Whilst they sent the wrong drops initially as soon as I notified them they sent the right ones and refunded me. You can’t get better than that Kim.
