Ebay seller invoice

Hi i am a little confused 

I recieved an email from ebay stating i had am unpaid invoice for November 2023 but i have not used this specific account for over 4 yrs 

I thought it may of been a scam but its aparently legit.  Could someone possibly help me understand how its possible to be billed an invoice if i havent used my account in over 4 yrs. And i cannot seem to get a hold of ebay

Sounds like a scammer pretending to be eBay

Have you clicked on any links in the email? 

How do you know it's legit?

What happened when you tried to use eBay Help?

Did the message appear in that account's eBay messages ?  If not it's a scam.

OK, is it possible it's an eBay Plus or Smarty Cashback subscription ?

What is the amount of the invoice ?

 from what I can see - you haven't bought or sold.....attempted hack?? go to HELP (top of page) within business hours and ask a CSR to have a look at your account

I havent been active on this account for over 4 yrs so nothing been active on it .
