Ebay purchase via Afterpay

Hi,

I purchased an item on Ebay with an Afterpay link for payment.

Its clear now that the seller wont be sending the item.

Afterpay have referred me back to Ebay.

Ive opened a dispute about this transaction.

My question is  Will/Does EBay cover the refund under there Guarantee.

Its not stated in there refund policy as an accepted payment option.

Any similar experiences or advice.

You always need to open a case on Ebay first

I think eBay MBG covers all payment methods available at checkout. If it was at checkout, you should be covered.

OK, I have found it:

Eligible for coverage:

• Credit card or debit card
• PayPal
• Apple Pay or Google Pay
• Afterpay
• eBay gift card or eBay voucher

Not covered:

• Items paid for with multiple payments to the seller
• Items paid for using any other type of payment method not listed above (such as bank transfer, cash, money orders, escrow services)

I was referred back to Ebay from Afterpay and the refund was sorted out.

I did see that info but missed the bit about afterpay being an acceptable payment method.

Its been sorted out now via ebay and refund received.
