Faulty item returned, no refund after 1 week

I returned a faulty mini computer that was not working, the item was returned by a return shipping label which showed that item was delivered a week ago, however no refund was issued.

I contacted seller and opened a return case to which seller had closed and was told it will be process by middle of this week. 

Is there a time frame for seller to process a refund?

What else could i do?  Please advice. Thank you.

If you paid by PayPal with a credit card linked it will go back to that card and can take 3-5 working days depending on your bank.

A seller cannot close a return case unless it's refunded.

Or did eBay perhaps close the case in the seller's favour ?

Did you open the case after you posted the computer back? If so it might be tricky. I would call Ebay

Yes i did opened the return case after i sent it back.

After about 5 days, seller refunded the money:-)
