Ordered 1tb Ipad- Received 128GB Ipad. Advice please.

Hi, I'm hoping for some advice. On December 6th, I ordered a 1tb Ipad Pro

It arrived on the 11th December. I checked the capacity, and it was only 128gb. The seller had sent the wrong one.

Fair enough, mistakes happen. I just want the 1tb Ipad I ordered. I've been messaging them repeatedly to try to arrange a swap. After a week of repetitive messages, they claimed today they don't have any 1tb Ipads in stock, so I have to return this one.

So they are either lying to me, or this 1tb Ipad currently for sale also doesn't exist. I told them I'd happily accept this one as a swap, even though it's rated "very good" instead of "excellent".  But according to them, they don't have any 1tb Ipads.

The seller has said they "MIGHT" refund me if I send the 128gb Ipad back. However I have zero trust in them any more, and imagine they might claim I have damaged it and then I'll been scammed out of $1400.

Advice please. Ebay is giving me canned responses so I want real answers on how I should handle it now. Full disclosure of all messages attached.

Why not simply do what you need to do?

Open and follow through with an item not as described dispute

No need to go back and forth with all those messages and play with the seller

One message, they are not helpful, open the dispute

They do not get a say if you did not get what you were

Especially from a seller with poor feedback like this

They know exactly what they are doing and hoping you will keep on playing their games so you run out of time to open the dispute

Stop now and open it

Do not listen to any rubbish they tell you once you open it

Thanks for the quick response! Ebay live chat advised me to open a Return Request, which I did a few days ago, with "Wrong item sent".

The seller has now sent a return label, but I feel like I am risking my $1400. What if they claim it has been damaged? I don't trust them at all.

And even if I do get a full refund, I still have no Ipad, and wasted many hours with no compensation. It sucks.
