Hi,

I just received a call informing that my account details were stolen and another account opened and a Gift Card purchase had been made. And then he was asking me to install Quick Support app to refund my money.

Are you certain this was a genuine call and not a scammer

Did you give the person any details or do anything?

Have you contacted eBay to see if the call was REALLY them?

Sounds very scammy to me

Go to HELP at the top or bottom of any page and select Live Chat

I hope you did not give any details over the phone to this caller

Scam.

Did any money leave your account? If so, you've been hacked. Do all the regular things to protect and disinfect your device. If not, they are scammers and installing the app will definitely see you hacked. Installing the app, regardless, will see you hacked.

If there was a genuine refund due, it would be done through Paypal or a deposit to your bank account.

No I didn't give any details, I was just making other people award of the approach being taken by scammers.
The call sounded so genuine. I quickly Googled what he was asking me to do and found out other people had the same experience.
So knew what he was trying to do, and wasted at least 15 minutes of his time,
