I've heard of this bid sniping and believe ive been a victim to one of these. Is this reortable? As I dont think that this is a fair thing

How could it not be fair when the same opportunity is available to all, and the best bidder wins?
Learn to snipe yourself, you get quite a thrill from winning a manual snipe.... And its isnt against any policy or wrong or unfair or anything else negative...
You think it isnt fair because you feel you have the item won before the time is over.. you dont, thats why auctions have an end time, highest bid wins when the time runs out, not whoever has had the highest bid for the longest time.
One wonders how you feel when you outbid someone else?
