Bought a pool fence and within 2 days, he said my father in law picked it up, only my father in law died 2 years ago!

I won a pool fence 2 days ago.  I emailed him twice to organise pick up for the fence as we live 1 1/2 hours away.  So I needed to pick up over the weekend.   He emailed me for the first time to say, that my father in law paid and picked it up today.  My father in law died 2 years ago.   I am not  a happy camper.

The first pool fence I bought earlier in the year, the wife relisted it while the husband was away on business and now this crap.

I am majorly pissed.

I agree with above post, doubt a seller would make up a 'pretend' person to be a father/daughter whatever, thinking this is maybe a buyer spinning the tale to the seller. You have 60 days to leave feedback, watch and see if it get's listed again? maybe didn't get the price they wanted?

There is nothing you can do really.

If another picked it up he would have had to given them the address and there is no way of the other person knowing you ID anyway.

Something suss here.

You can leave neg feedback but they might get it removed on request.

Maybe just look for another fence as there is nothing you can really do about it 😞
