Shill bidding is not as common as new members think it is, and a seller needs a seperate account to bid with, you cannot bid on your own items. If ebay make a connection with two accounts bidding from the same IP address, they will take action. Ultimately, you have to trust the system, and if anything does stand out, report the listing and let ebay look into it.
