I bought an item. I did not pay for it imediately but went to check the purchasers shop. I found another item I liked. I wasn't sure if the seller combined postage or not, so I added the item to my cart (being very careful not to purchase) and messaged the seller for a request total and explained to them I had bought one item and was considering buying the other as well and would they give me a total. When I woke up the next day I had a purchase bill for both items with the combined postage. However, one of the items was not the item I had planned to purchase, but a different item. I am not sure if it was a glitch or if I was just tired as this item and the one I intended to buy (waiting for postage confirmation) had a very similar front picture. So I went to remove the product from my cart and replace it with the item I had wanted to buy. But ebay will not allow me to cancel until after I have paid for both items. I never purchased the other item. I only put in my cart.
Did requesting a total to see if the postage would be combined, mean that I was agreeing to purchase it?
I am working it out with the seller. I still want to buy the two items, that I actually wanted to buy. But I am confused at how I was so careful not to purchase an item, and then I wake up and aparently I have bought it!
Thanks.
If you requested a total price through the link in the cart you have indeed agreed to purchase those items.
The seller cannot give you a total until you have purchased.
