I was the winning bidder on an item, later realizing the seller does not offer shipping to my location. I have contacted the seller, apologized and asked if they would make an exception if I pay higher shipping fees. The seller responded just by saying "item does not ship to your location at present". I thanked them and asked to have my bid removed as I would not be able to receive the item. Nothing happened... Now I received a notice that an unpaid item case is opened against me. I will not pay for something that I will not receive. Where do I stand??
The seller should have removed your bid rather than hope you would be out bid and the get more.
You can ask them if they would change the dispute to a mutual cancellation and if they don't and you get a strike then appeal the strike and it should be removed as long as you do not have a history as a non payer.
