As a buyer we used the horrid new claim process which proved to be buggy. Change is not always for the best buyer expereince.
We orignally ordered 2 of an item and after waiting past the last ETA date and messaging the seller we deided to make a "not recieved" claim. Navigating to make the claim as become multistep for no perceived benefit ( at least for the buyer), then when you finally are presented with the claim form it allowed me to enter more quantities than orginally purchased, instead of allowing a maximum of 2 items it allowed me to enter a maximum of 10. This is clearly wrong, the old process of making a claim was easy and always allowed the correct quantity to be claimed.
We entered the correct quantity to claim (2) and processed the claim.
When eBay or the seller accepted the claim and issued a refund we received a refund for 1 item only.
Contacting eBay we where told that I did not enter the correct quantity to claim, remember we ordered 2 and claimed for 2.
The new system is buggy and misleading and prone to abuse and failed buyer protection.
Why change a system that worked in the first place? Make it difficult or require huge amounts of efforts to the buyer and we must look for a better site to purchase good from.
Note:
If you are requesting refunds from eBay the buyer needs to carefully check the refunded amounts.
