Entitlement

I recently attempted to leave honest and fair feedback for an item a couple weeks ago.

Ebay refused to allow my feedback and instead altered my feedback stating ''the seller is entitled to 5 stars because x'' where x is any of the categories.

My question is this - since ebay refuses to accept my feedback rating and instead enforces its own, is there any negative side effects of simply ceasing to provide feedback at all? For all my future purchases. I mean negative side effects to me personally, not ebay as a whole or other buyers.

What i am trying to say is, is there any punishment or restrictions that can be placed on me for choosing to never provide feedback again for any and all purchases from now on?

There are 2 categories where ebay dictates the star ratings you can leave.

If the seller has offered free postage they automactically get 5 stars.  If the transaction has been finalised without any communication between the 2 parties they are also entitled to 5 stars as obviously the seller has given all the information in the listing and has sent the item promptly so you don't need to ask where it is.

Why would you want to leave anything but 5 stars for these categories under these circumstances?

If you don't want to leave feedback then don't leave it.  I am sure sellers would rather have no feedback than the possibility of receiving bad stars from a buyer who does not understand the system and wants to leave low stars for a good transaction.
