Has anyone else been scammed by ebays shady money back guarantee?? They dont pay up!

I recently made an ebay purchase and was ripped off by the seller.

The seller did not send me the goods.

I went through the motions to get a refund via ebays money back guarantee.

This is the lame excuse ebay gave me so they could weasel out of refunding me.

Quote. THE SELLER DID NOT PROVIDE ANY TRACKING DATA. CASE CLOSED End quote.

I asked them for more info but they had made up their mind not to refund me a would not do anything else.

What does this say about the integrity of ebay as I am now out $100+ due to them not doing what they promised.

The way I look at it is that they aided this thief in getting away with the crime. (All for a couple of lousy bucks commission) I have lost faith in ebay but they have me by the snarglies as I do most of my online shopping through them.

I'd like to hear from others who have been shafted by this greedy company. Even if just to know I am not alone.
