How can eBay allow all these items to be listed as Antique when it was then listed as new in the fine print which one is it eBay Antique or New it cant be both? I have been looking for an Antique walking cane/stick for quite a while only to keep coming across these walking canes/sticks that are constructed in 3 parts where if too much weight is put on them they collapse as the brass screws are to weak and not long enough to hold a grown mans weight of 86 kilos the cane just gives way, I believed eBay had a standard where a vendor could not make false claims either something is Antique or it isn't there is no middle ground with this or does eBay now condone fraudulent classifications.
eBay do not read here
eBay do not 'check/vet/read ANY listings
If you know something is not as described, don't buy it
If what you get is not what you ordered. open an item not as described dispute
If a listing breeches eBay policy, report it
Every listing has "report item" on the RHS of the listing page. Use that to notify eBay of your concerns.
I had no trouble buying an Antique Bentwood Walking Stick a couple of weeks ago.
I am now using it to visit every seller on eBay to vet over a billion listings... should be easy.
