I am still awaiting Postage update from the 03 JUNE 2021 for my item purchased, advertised as "AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA" as the Location, I delved deeper and found that this Seller is in "HONG KONG", I am NOT happy 🤬🤬, that I am NOT buying from a TRUE AUSTRALIAN Seller. How has this been possible ? If this is to be allowed, I will re- think where & from what website I purchase from, as far as I am concerned THIS IS NOT ON !!
If an overseas seller has stock located in Australia, ebay allows them to appear in searches even though the seller is not actually located in Australia. You can't eliminate these sellers when you do a search because you can't filter by seller location. You can only filter by 'product location'. As a general rule of thumb, the overseas sellers use photographs with the words 'Australia AUS Shipping' and even use Australian flags etc in the images which is misleading as it gives the buyer the impression that they are Australian sellers. The only way to try to reduce the overseas sellers from your searches is to sort by price lowest to highest. The overseas sellers generally sell only new products and they sell them so cheap that Australian sellers can't compete on price. Secondly, the seller often, but not always, has a large number of transactions next to their username along with a feedback rate of less than 100%. Thirdly, if you click on their username you will be able to see where the seller is located. Additionally it should be noted that if you do purchase a 'brand' label item from one of these overseas sellers there is a chance that the product is a fake.
What was the item number where it says the SELLER is in Australia?
It clearly shows the seller is registered in Hong Kong without any need to 'delve deeper' it is one click
You purchased on June 3rd, TWO business days ago (not even two yet actually, since it is just past 9am)
Did the seller's handling time indicate they post the same day or next day?
What is the item number?
I have purchased items from sellers registered in HK who have stock in Australia and it has been delivered promptly
As said, it is very easy to see where seller is registered - not where is located. That is the first port of call. Chances are that if they are registered O/S that is where the item will be coming from.
I check prior to any purchase and save myself any angst.
