Hygiene - Face mask returns

Is it legal and in accordance with Health Organisation standards to return a purchased cloth face mask to seller?

I don't strictly know the rules but I would imagine if they are still in sealed packets then no reason why not.

If unpackaged I would think not.

Exactly my thoughts. I am unsure what the right thing to do is. I was sent the wrong mask by a seller and have now been asked to return it. Normally that is what one would do. With Covid things are much different. Do I return it and hope the seller doesn’t resell it although they confirmed in an email that they had sent it to me in error and asked I return it so they can forward it on to the right buyer.What do I do?

P.S. It did not arrive sealed as it is hand sewn. I don’t even know if this is another returned item that has now found it’s way to me

If it is a cloth one I would probably return it knowing any recipient can wash them in hot water before use.
