I am experiencing difficulty in paying with Afterpay for an item. I complete the purchase get re-directed to Afterpay complete details etc however nothing after that.
The ebay site says 'We ran into a problem. Please try again' however nothing is highlighted

i have had the exact same issue , in fact i'm trying to find a way to open a dispute "i swear eBay makes it impossible to contact any customer service",
the system did the same to me , except when i tried twice "thinking i done something wrong" and eventually i gave up after the second time and paid for it with credit card cause it's a car part i'm desperate for
but when it errored out, the system actually created a charge in AfterPay's system for the item from that seller, however, on eBay's end the transaction never took place and doesn't exist.
so now i'm stuck with a 2 payment schedules that i technically haven't authorised for items i didn't purchase and will never get. and if i didn't check afterpay i would have been in for a serious shock.
the transactions are marked Ebay and have a old 1800322928 number to contact that seems old and no one answers it, it's automated with a message for seller and then hangs up. frustrating.
Afterpay has useless virtual assistant with only a handful of solution and no where to contact customer service for Australia AT ALL, and ebay has almost the same thing, it's frustrating. eBay needs to fire their lazy developers.
I wouldn't recommend using afterpay on eBay at all, and rather contact the seller and ask them about direct access to their website instead.
Can't help. I don't buy things I can't afford.
The Afterpay site might have some temporary glitches.
